The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has reported that 916 people have died across Syria over the past week.

Rami Abdel Rahman told the German Press Agency (DPA) that this figure was collated during the week between 20-26 June.

The violence in Syria has matched or exceeded levels from before the April ceasefire agreement, Jean-Marie Guehenno, U.N.'s deputy envoy for Syria said on Wednesday.

According to the Local Coordination Committees at least 50 people have been killed on Thursday, including 22 the Damascus suburbs of Douma, Hamouria and Arbeen.
