Dozens of protesters marched through Sitra on Thursday night in preparation for a mass demonstration planned to take place on Friday in Bahrain's capital, Manama.

Demonstrators held signs reading 'People Demand Downfall of the Regime', chanted and waved flags.

Clashes between youths and Bahraini security forces happen almost every day in the tiny oil-rich kingdom, which has been wracked by unrest since pro-democracy demonstrations began in February 2011.

According to activists more than 80 people have died since the beginning of the uprising inspired by successful uprising in Tunisia and Egypt.
