Bristol: EDL racist rhetoric continues as public raise concerns ahead of march

With just one day until the English Defence League descend on Bristol, their supports continue to post racist comments online undermining the group's reassurances that they are not racist. 

The march is taking place on the same day as the city's annual Pride celebrations on College Green. Although the EDL claim that this is a coincidence it has touched a nerve with many locals who fear that trouble may spoil the LGBT festivities. 

'Chris Rasher Bacon' posted this on his Facebook wall while simultaenously urging march-goers to behave themselves:

 

Such comments do little to ease the concerns of many Bristolians as Saturday's march approaches. Local MPs and councillors have also spoken out against the demonstration, asking people to avoid the city centre if possible. The majority of the public appear opposed to the march with hundreds expressing their opposition on Twitter:
