Dramatic footage of NYE lifeboat rescue of fisherman in Cornwall

  • comments

Watch Port Isaac RNLI lifeboat volunteers racing through rough seas on New Year's Eve in a desperate search to find an angler who was washed off rocks near Tintagel Head.

It's believed the man had been in the water for up to an hour before he was found. The video was shot by crew member Matt Main using an RNLI helmet camera and finishes abruptly because it was damaged during the recovery of the man into the D class inshore lifeboat.

The fisherman was taken back to Boscastle where he was met by paramedics and then transported on to hospital where he is recovering.
