A demonstration is taking place in Charlotte, where the Democratic National Convention 2012 is being held, calling for the release of imprisoned soldier, Bradley Manning, and a withdrawal of troops from war zones. 

Demonstrators are holding flags and banners condemning Obama. Within 15 minutes of the march starting participants reached a wall of police officers, and at least one arrest has taken place. 

The march was reportedly not given official permission to go ahead.
