Hundreds of people ave gathered outside the Indian High Commission in London to protest the rape and subsequent death of a 23-year-old student in New Delhi on December 16.
The incident sparked protests in the capital and across India, with thousands of people taking to the street demanding that the government take measures to ensure safety for women. The protests have continued everyday since the incident and show little sign of abating, and have even been cited by some as the beginning of a 'social revolution' in the country.
People at the scene estimate that around 200 people are in attendance at the High Commission on Aldwych, off The Strand.
