An elephant has died and another is seriously injured after a serious accident on a busy Noida highway near India's capital, Delhi.
The 40-year-old male elephant was killed after it was hit by a truck in a road accident whilst the other remains seriously injured. Elephant welfare agencies have arried at the scene. The body of the elephant on the road caused traffic jams until it was lifted by a crane to be cleared off the road.
