Many Florida residents have shared over the past few days videos of heavy rain, strong winds and flooding caused by the tropical storm Isaac.

The storm, which has now become a hurricane, continues to move across the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to hit Louisiana seven years after Hurricane Katrina killed 1,800 and left New Orleans in ruins.

Isaac, which is thought to be responsible for the deaths of 19 people in Haiti, caused little damage as it blew past southern Florida.
