A man in India has been arrested and charged with causing harm after doctors discovered that he had drilled in a lock on her genitals.

When the woman, who had tried to commit suicide by drinking rat poison was rushed to hospital, doctors discovered a lock around her private parts.

NDTV later reported that her husband, who works as a mechanic locally, admitted that he "drilled holes" into her at home four years ago. Every morning before leaving for work the man would insert the lock, taking his key with him.
