London Fire Brigade have confirmed that a man became stuck in the mud close to Dove Pier in Hammersmith this afternoon.

Firefighters attended the scene, but it was a member of the public that rescued the man.

Following the incident the London Ambulance service treated the man who is not believed to have any serious injuries.
