Dozens of people came out on the streets of Pachuca in Mexico on Thursday, as President Enrique Peña Nieto was visiting the city for the inauguration of a cultural complex dedicated to education and the promotion of cultural and scientific development.
The protesters gathered near Plaza Juarez de Pachuca, where the president was inaugurating the cultural complex, chanting slogans against the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), which has returned to the presidency since the election of Peña Nieto.
Ahead of the visit, the Mexican Police had barricaded all roads leading to Plaza Juarez de Pachuca and traffic movement had been closed.
