More than 120 bodies were found on Saturday in the town of Darayya outside the Syrian capital Damascus a day after it was retaken by the Syrian army, the Local Coordination Committees (LCC) said.
According to activists, at least 122 people were executed by regime forces in Darayya. Overall, more than 200 died in the Damacus suburb on Saturday.
"122 corpses were discovered; they had been executed by regime forces. The number of martyrs in Daraya alone has exceeded 200 and there are still many corpses that have not been reached [sic]," the LCC said.
The Local Coordination Committees said 440 people have been killed across Syria on Saturday, including 310 in Damascus and its suburbs, most of them in Darayya, south west of Damascus.
A video shared by activists reportedly shows the victims who were executed. Some of the bodies were gathered at Abu Sleiman al-Darani mosque in Darayya [Video 1].
A second video posted on Youtube shows residents of Darayya attempting to recover the body of a man buried under the rubble after the area was shelled by Syrian troops.
