A mother is suing international pop star Justin Bieber for $9 million after claIming his concert was too loud.
Stacey Betts, from Oregon, is suing Bieber, his record label and promoters of a concert that took place in Portland, Oregon, in 2010.
TMZ reported that the suit was filed in the U.S. District Court after Betts claimed that a "sound blast" from the show permanently impaired the hearing in both of her ears. Betts is seeking to gain $9.23 million from Bieber and his team due to "hearing loss, severe tinnitus [a ringing in the ears] and hyperacusis [sensitivity to sound] in both ears."
Many Biebar fans have taken to Twitter to defend the star claiming that the mother is wrong to sue Bieber and question why she was even there in the first place.
The woman claims Bieber provoked the high noise levels by creating "a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then (Bieber) enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."
Biebar was caught up in controversy earlier in July for speeding in his car. Earlier this year he underwent paternity gets after a woman accused him of getting her pregnant.
