A petition has been launched on change.org calling for the Royal Mail to keep the painted post boxes commemorating Team GB's success their glorious gold after the Games.
Carl Turland from Epsom, who started the petition has said:
This petition is to keep the post boxes gold as a legacy of the London 2012 Olympic games. Let them serve as a reminder to inspire the next generation.
The postboxes have been painted in the home village, town or city of athletes who have won gold medals, and will be re-painted red at the end of the summer.
