Report: Apple set to release iPhone 5 on August 7th

Know Your Mobile reports that industry sources say that Apple's highly-anticipated iPhone 5 is set to be launched on August 7th in a keynote speech. With every iPhone launch, the secrecy surrounding the product is a closely guarded one, but with Samsung kicking on in the smartphone market with its much loved Galaxy S3, Apple is ready to pounce on momentum and expected to ship with Apple's iOS 6 operating system and is expected to bring deeper integration with Facebook and iCloud.

One states that the iPhone 5 will have a re-designed casing with a larger display, while the second states that it will feature a micro dock.

Photos posted by Taiwanese Apple blog Apple.Pro show a white frame with a slightly larger screen. The phone will also have a FaceTime camera at the center, displayed on both the front and the back of the frame. The screen is said to be 4 inches instead of the standard 3.5 on the iPhone 4/4S.
