UPDATE:
It has been confirmed that a young woman, believed to be in her twenties was killed at approximately 12.15pm on Hanover Square.
Eye witness accounts suggest that the cause of death was a falling window frame.
A serious accident has been reported at Hanover Square, close to Regents Street.
Police vehicles and a number of ambulances have been reported at the scene, where it is thought that a wooden window frame fell on a pedestrian.
