Belgian journalist Yves Debay was reportedly killed by a government sniper while he was covering fighting between insurgents and Assad forces in Aleppo, Syria's largest metropolis, activists reported early Friday.
A video shared by opposition activists reportedly showed the dead body of Yves Debay.
A picture of the journalist's press card was posted on the Facebook page of an activist group based in Aleppo.
The Committee to Protect Journalists named Syria the most dangerous country in the world to work in last year.
In total, twenty-eight journalists were killed in the country in 2012.
