Police are continuing their search for two teeneage girls today, after they went missing whilst on a trip to Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 24th April.
Megan Wintle,16, and Ellie Hill,13, both from Taunton, are said to have ran off from carers whilst on their beach visit and have been missing since. After nearly fourteenth weeks since they disappeared police are becoming increasingly concerned about the girls welfare.
Detectives have so far traced the girls to the London area after speaking to people who are known to have seen them shortly after they disappeared. In an appeal Detective Inspector Ian Glover said: "I would like to hear from anyone who knows where the girls are or where they have been since they went missing."
"We know they have been in the London area so I would particularly appeal to people in the city, and their home town of Taunton, to be vigilant and report any sightings of the girls."
Ellie is white, 5ft 6inches tall, of medium build and has shoulder-length brown hair. She has blue eyes, wears braces on her teeth and has scratches on her left arm.
