A 25-year-old man died while crossing the street in Cardiff Bay, police reports today.

Around 3am this morning an accident occurred in James Street, nearby the Wales Millennium Centre. South Wales Police arrested a man in suspicion of having caused the road collision. He was found drunk and on drugs.

The vehicle of the man arrested hit a man who was then brought to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, where he died.

Police have open an investigations and are now looking for witnesses. St James' street remain close.
