It’s all beginning to come undone in the City. The last four years have seen endless attempts by those with vested interests in keeping the current system of crony corporatism afloat. The Politicians have been unable to control their sponsors in the financial sector who are now safe in the knowledge that no matter how far in debt, however corrupt, however over exposed, there are no longer any sanctions that can be used against them. Our central bank points a wagging finger at other banks that collude to set interest rates amongst themselves whilst happily printing more worthless paper and dumping it into a system that no longer has any value yet is too big to fail. Where once, our bankers relied on gold - solid, no creatable, dig it up and earn it gold, our Political masters believed that the emperor could have new clothes if only they could get control of the banking system.
We now base our wealth on our debt and survive by manipulating our credit status and selling the future labour of our children as bonds. The very banks who enabled our 50 year spending spree, in collaboration with the weasel Politicians who knew it would quite literally buy them votes with money they would never have to pay back are still refusing to come clean and announce the cold hard fact that it was all a busted flush – there are no Fort Knox piles of gold lurking in Europe’s central banks, just numbers crunching on a mainframe – desperately trying to create the next boom of property or easy credit to enable peasants to drive Mercedes and the crony corporate Corruptisitas to build palaces of marble and fly Politicians to meet them on diamond encrusted Learjets.
Where will it end? Firstly, to restore some faith, a few bankers will be prosecuted under vague Fraud legislation and a few smacked wrists and resignations will occur. Yet more yearlong public enquiries will be ordered and the lawyers will get richer whilst our Political masters will pretend they knew nothing about anything whilst not recalling a damn thing except the nasty capitalists conned them into ensuring everything they did was too big to fail. Gone was the shareholder risk or the venture capital losses – everything the cronies did would simply be underwritten by the ever gullible and ever accessible taxpayer – in return for yet more party funding. No bank will be allowed to fail, no overhaul of the ridiculous credit institutions that are close to running entire countries, no democratic choice to burn down this house of brittle straw and rebuild on the ashes, just more of the same with the odd sacrificial goat slaughtered to the Gods of the Media to keep the masses placated – and continuing to unwittingly underwrite it all and sell their own children into slavery on the promise of 5 weeks paid holiday a year and a 40 hour week to the tune of Eastenders or X Factor.
Nothing will change because nothing CAN change. To deconstruct the labyrinth of falsehoods, lies and outright cons inflicted upon us would see the end of civilisation as we know it and would end in ferocious bloodshed. Not all of us can go back to a pastoral existence, living within our means off the land. The contrick is now so institutionalised in the West that it will not be long before we are forbidden to mention it, lest the walls collapse and millions and millions of media qualified diversity coordinators, good for nothing bar perpetuating the myth that they actually create or contribute anything to society pour onto the streets and start eating our pets to survive.
Learn to get by on less, because there’s going to be plenty more of it to come – this game is far from over and will not end well
