A 21-year old man has been charged following the death of a man in Musselburgh.

David McCardie, aged 40, died from injuries he received near the Claverhouse Pub in Musselburgh on Friday.

Another man, aged 47, remains in a serious condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the incident.

A spokesperson from Lothian and Borders Police said the 21-year-old had been charged with Mr McCardle's murder. He is expected to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court in the near future.
