Media blackout as protests hit Sicily

The Pitchfork Movement, “Movimento dei Forconi” have taken to the streets of Sicily demanding reform and change.

There seems to be a mainstream media blackout as the Sicilian middle classes are protesting and have demanded to shut the island down. This has been raging since 16th January and is a major event on the island of some 5 million inhabitants, with little or no cover from the press.

The austerity being doled out by Berlusconi's replacement, by technocrat Mario Monti, undemocratically placed in the leaders chair (ex-Goldman Sachs man), has driven the middle-classes out into the streets and the protests are on-going.

The Sicilians have some demands; the arrest of all corrupt politicians, reduction in the number of Parliamentarians, removal of the provincial bureaucracy, drastic cuts in the salaries and privileges of Parliamentarians and Senators, and restricting politicians to only two terms in office.

Another testimony of how the 'banksters' are squeezing the life out of everyone in their grasp, there has been an open season on stealing and squeezing everyone in the EU due to the austerity prescribed, because of the ramped-up "false debt".

Since 2007, this is the biggest transfer of wealth from the people to the bankers in history, enslavement of all to a "created debt".

I am praying that they have the strength to persevere; this very same fight is happening to all in the Anglosphere and we should be fully aware of all protests so we can give support.

The ongoing protests across the globe is testimony to the chaos that has been caused by bank policies world wide.
