Two men aged 29 and 26 have this morning been arrested in Bradford on suspicion of Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Cause Fear West Yorks police said.
Both men currently remain in custody.
Detective Superintendent Dave Pervin said:
"This morning's planned operation, saw officers attend addresses in the Girlington and Allerton areas of Bradford.
"These latest arrests are part and parcel of our continued and proactive efforts to tackle firearms offences within West Yorkshire.
"It is important that we work with local communities to target anyone who is involved in any kind of crime that involves guns.
"If people are concerned about what's happening in their area, they can speak with their local Neighbourhood Policing Teams."
