Two men sentenced for murder of Anthony Dickson in Hayes

Two men have been sentenced today, Friday 18 May, at the Old Bailey for the murder of Anthony Dickson in Hayes in December 2010.

The court heard how after a robbery by Anthony Dickson on Satwant Virdee, on the 8 December 2010, one of the sentenced men, Anthony Small made it known that Dickson had robbed one of his drugs dealers and that he was going to kill him.

On the evening of 23 December 2010, the victim had arranged to meet Small in the area of Marvell Avenue in Hayes, his intention was to do a drugs deal to feed his habit. The victim arrived at the scene, got out of a car and went towards the park entrance in Marvell Avenue. Small and the second convicted man, Felicino got out of a car. Small was carrying a loaded MAC-10 machine gun. Shortly after, gunshots were heard and the men returned to the car and drove away. Dickson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anthony Ricardo Small, 32, of High Street, Harlesden was today sentenced to life with a minimum of 34 years in jail.

Max Felicino, 27, of Waylands, Hayes, was found guilty of manslaughter and possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine. He was today given respective jail terms of 14 and three years, to run consecutively.

Detective Inspector Martin Ludlow, Homicide and Serious Crime Command, who was the officer in charge of this investigation, said:

"Anthony Dickson was someone's father and son. His family will have to come to terms with his violent, premeditated murder. I hope they take comfort in knowing that the people responsible for his death will face a long time in jail."
