50 firefighters have been sent to a fire in a warehouse on Hickman Avenue, Chingford.

London Fire Brigade have said that half of the warehouse is alight, and that the cause of the fire in unknown at this stage.

Helicopters have also been reported at the scene.

The building on fire is thought to be the old Focus hardware shop on Hickman Avenue.

Pictures show thick black smoke coming from the warehouse, which can be seen across London as far south as Sutton.
