Armed police are currently attending an incident on Southwark Bridge Road.

Initial reports suggest that there is a firearm incident, and some people may be locked inside a pub by police with handguns. People working in offices nearby have been told to stay inside. A cordon is in place around Southwark Bridge Road, Great Suffolk Street, and Webber Street junction.

Eyewitnesses report lots of police and a police helicopter at the scene.

A man has reportedly been escorted from the area.
