A man has reportedly died close to Piccadilly Circus. He was pronounced dead at the scene, following 30 minutes of resuscitation attempts. The man was treated by paramedics, police and doctors.

Part of the road was cordoned off and buses were temporarily diverted.

London Ambulance Service have confirmed that they were called to a man taken ill by Piccadilly Circus just before 1.30pm. Two cycle units, one motorcycle unit, two ambulances and one duty officer attended the incident. Unfortunately despite resuscitation attempts the man died at the scene from a cardiac arrest.
