28-year-old Metropolitan police officer, Joseph Harrington, has today denied beating up a black teenager in the aftermath of the London riots last summer.
The 15-year-old was handcuffed at the time and is said to have been grabbed by the neck as Harrington forced his hands and knees into his back.
Harrington pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates Court today. He will appear again at Southwark crown court on 13 July.
