The Metropolitan Police have cordoned off Canary Wharf infront of HSBC, Citigroup and the Reeboks gym. Eyewitness say sniffer dogs are everywhere with a fire engine in attendance. Pictures show that the ambulance service is also at the scene.

It is thought that a suspect package was found in the basement car park of the HSBC Tower.
