Disabled protesters scuccessfully blocked a road leading to Trafalgar Square in protest of cuts to disability living allowance cuts. The protest focused on benefit cuts, care funding and Loss of Remploy jobs, and has been organised by DPAC (Disabled People Against Cuts).

Ahead of the demonstration one protester said: "Cameron picked on the wrong people by targeting the disabled. We r going to make him regret it".

One eye witness said that traffic on all roads to Trafalgar Square was blocked as protesters have chained themselves together.

Picture shows police cutting the chains, who had reportedly been "shoved" and sworn at by officers.

Protesters continued to block roads around Trafalgar Square causing severe disruption for over an hour. Main media outlets failed to report on the event despite the effect it had, the BBC mentioned only travel delays in the area.
