Police evicted Occupy London supporters this morning as they attempted to take over another building. Occupy London have said that:
Early this morning supporters of Occupy London began legally occupying the abandoned Midland Bank at St Alphage Highwalk, London EC2.
and they are:
greatly concerned by what appears to be the wholly disproportionate actions of the City of London Police in breaking and entering premises being legally occupied under Section 6 of the 1977 Criminal Law Act.
Four Occupy London supporters have been arrested, and are believed to be being held at Snow Hill Police Station, London EC1A 2DP. This latest action comes Occupy face potential eviction from the site around St. Paul's Cathedral in the heart of the City. The group have until Friday to apply to the Court of Appeal to review their case.
