Man Sentenced After Sexually Assaulting Women On Manchester Buses For 15 Years

[title]

A man who has been sexually assaulting women for 15 years was sentenced on Tuesday. Up until January of this year David Moore has been travelling on the bus routes 42, 142 and 143 between Piccadilly and Didsbury (3 of the busiest buses on that use the Oxford Road route) and touching women’s thighs, breasts and crotch areas. When they have noticed he has immediately vacated the bus, on one occasion even forcing the doors open whilst it was still moving. He was originally charged with seven accounts of sexual assault however asked the court to take into account twelve other separate incidents.

Although many women reported Moore to the bus driver to the bus drivers immediately or to the police later the same day it has taken a very long time to arrest Moore. The incidents that he has been charged with have all happened over the past 5 years; it is unclear of the details of previous offences that have been happening since 1996.
