Still £50,000 Reward For Salford Shooting Information

[title]

Despite the arrest and appearance in court of a man over the murder of Anuj Bidve in Salford on Boxing Day, police have not retracted the £50,000 reward for any information that leads to the conviction of Anuj’s killer.

Kiaran Stapleton, who refers to himself as Psycho, is scheduled to appear in Manchester Crown Court after being charged with murder this weekend. For many this is described as an “open shut case” but police are determined that nothing should let Anuj’s killer walk free and are still appealing for information.

Just 5 hours before Stapleton was arrested police announced that a 19-year-old that had been arrested earlier that week had been bailed. Stapleton is the sixth person to be arrested in connection with Anuj’s murder but the first to be charged.

Manchester police officers have been dispatched to India to liaise with the family who were the first to be made aware of the arrest. This was especially important after the Facebook fiasco when one of Anuj’s friends posted about his death on Facebook before the police had time to contact the family personally.
