Police and the fire service attended an incident this morning on Pilgrim Street, Newcastle.

A female pedestrian was hit by a bus at approximately 10.40am. She has been taken to hospital, the extent of her injuries are currently unknown.

Pilgrim Street is currently closed to traffic between New Bridge Street West and the Market Street.
