An explosion has been reported at the Mars Pet Food factory on Oakwell Way in Birstall, close to Leeds and Bradford.

Initial reports suggest that one person has been injured. A fire service spokesperson said that the explosion was in an oil-powered boiler in a boiler room. The blast blew out a prefabricated wall.

The fire service are in attendance.
