Charity calls on Brits' love of curry to raise funds

A UK charity, whose work is based in India, has called on Britain's love of curry to raise funds for their work with poor, rural families.

'Find your Feet' are encouraging people to eat in or out and raise money to change lives through the celebration of Indian cuisine throughout June. As an incentive, the charity have organised for the top fundraisers to join Anjali Pathak of Indian food producers Pathaks.

He said:

“I’m delighted to be part of this fantastic campaign that encourages people to get together, try new recipes and enjoy an evening of good food. It’s even better knowing that this is helping the families Find Your Feet works with, a charity that really does help people to help themselves. I had a wonderful Curry For Change evening last year and managed to raise vital funds for this worthy charity. Its hard catching up with friends these days but we had a great excuse to meet up. Get cooking to help us change lives!”

If homecooking isn't your bag, Indian restaurants throughout the country are holding 'Curry for Change' evenings and making donations to the cause.
