Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton will take his food to the skies next month after partnering up with Hong Kong Airlines to create a new in flight dining concept. Passengers on the new all-Club Class service from London Gatwick (LGW) to Hong Kong (HKG) will be the first to try it on 8 March. The idea is to create a menu reflecting the cuisine of Europe and China and will also be served with carefully selected wines.
Athertons illustrious career included appearances on the BBC, training under Marco Pierre White and Gordon Ramsay. In 2011 he left the Ramsay empire to start his own venture, Pollen Street Social. He gained his first Michelin star within 6 months of opening his restaurant.
"The opportunity to work with a dynamic airline brand for an exciting new launch in this way is incredible. Iām looking forward to showcasing my concept for Hong Kong Airlines to give customers a truly memorable experience,ā said Atherton.
