An 22-year-old protester was shot to death on Friday night in Salmabad, central Bahrain, activists report. Ahmed Ismael was shot in the upper right thigh by a man who opened fire from a Land Cruiser. The teenage victim died a few hours later. According to eyewitnesses the man who shot him was a police officer on board an unmarked vehicle patrol. The policeman is reportedly known for his brutality toward protesters, EA worldview say. The Ministry of Interior said an investigation has been opened. They tweeted: "The person who was received by the International Hospital died of injury in top of the right thigh, Public Prosecution starts investigation,", before adding "Medical examiner attributes death of Ahmed Ismaeel to a single bullet wound. Investigation continues #Bahrain. Ismael Hassan's funeral procession took place this afternoon in Salmabad. Mourners clashed with police forces who fired tear gas. (see video) Bahraini journalist Mazen Mahdi tweeted: Don't know what qualify as war-zone but #Salmabad could qualify now as one most likely #Bahrain !
