The group of internet hacktivists Anonymous took down the official website of Virgin Media on Tuesday.
The Virgin Media website is still currently unavailable.
Earlier this morning the group warned against a "surprise attack" against "Governments and Corporations of the world."
The group posted a statement in which it explains how they associated with Lulz Security, commonly abbreviated as LulzSec, a computer hacker group that claimed responsibility for several high profile attacks, including the compromise of user accounts from Sony Pictures in 2011.
