Poo-Wifi: Exchange dog mess for free wifi in Mexico [VIDEO]

Mexican Internet portal, Terra, have developed a revolutionary new incentive to encourage dog owners to clear up after their pooches.

Currently being tested in 10 parks in Mexico City, “Poo-WIFI” exchanges dog waste for free internet. The number of minutes is relative to the weight of the faeces, and the signal can be picked up from routers throughout the parks.

After pet owners have picked up their dog's do-dos, they simply place the bag in a special box that calculates its weight and the free WIFI is generated. Everyone’s a winner!

The developers of the innovative “POO-WIFI” have reported that there have been cases of people collecting rubbish and placing that in the bin in exchange for internet, but have said they have no problem with it, if it means the parks are cleaner. Good news all round, except perhaps for the hostesses of the poo-collecting incentive who have to stand by the bin/internet router throughout the day to ensure it is used properly, and to hand out bags!
