Six teenagers have been killed in shelling and gunfire in Idlib, in north-west Syria, the Local Coordination Committees activist group (LCC) says. Dozens more have been injured in the attack.

Security forces opened fire at houses in Khirbet Ghazaleh, Deraa province, the LCC report. In the Damascus suburb of Harasta, gunfire was also heard in several neighbourhoods.

According to the organization, 16 people have been killed so far on Tuesday across Syria.
