Syrian forces killed a would-be suicide bomber in the northern city of Aleppo on Friday, according to the Syrian State TV.
The news comes a day after bombs blasts killed 55 people and injured 350 in the capital of Damascus.
"Syrian authorities have foiled an attempted suicide attack in Al-Shaar area of Aleppo and killed the would-be attacker," the channel said.
According to state media the would-be attacker's car contained 1,200 kilos of explosives.
